Isn't she cute?!?!?!

Well, I think she is pretty cute, and that is what counts! We made chocolate chip cookies today, Mom's favorite, and Savannah covered herself in the flour! Hehe. Savannah likes to cook if she gets to taste it all. Hey, I don't blame her one bit. I wouldn't mind cooking too if I didn't have to do the dishes afterwards.

We are going to try cooking little things at least twice a week for a while. Maybe stuff like chex mix for Daddy, or more cookies. I don't know. Send some ideas my way, I will gladly take them, as long as they are toddler friendly!

Doesn't she look so sweet. Ahh, don't let those napping eyes fool you, she's got the toddler spunk!

Hi Meagan, Michael and Savannah,
Love your blog. Got out my kid-friendly cookbooks and found the following:
Dried Fruit Bars
Filling:
1 1/2 c. chopped dried fruit (dates, apricots, apples, raisins, figs, any combination)
2/3 c. fruit juice
2-4 Tbsp. honey
2 Tbsp. lemon juice
Dough:
1/2 c. oil 1 1/4 c. flour
1/3 c. honey 1 1/2 c. oatmeal
1 egg 1/2 tsp. salt
Cook filling on low until mushy. Cream oil and honey together; add egg. Add flour, oatmeal, salt; mix until crumbly. Press 1/2 crumb mixture into a 9x9 inch greased pan. Spread filling on dough. Bake at 400deg. for 20 minutes. Cool, then cut.

Pizza
Pizza shell
3/4 c. pizza sauce (or tomato sauce w/Italian spices sprinkled on top
Your favorite veggies, meat sprinkled on top
5-6 oz. shredded mozzarella cheese

Preheat oven to 450. Spoon pizza sauce on pizza shell. Put pizza on cookie sheet. Add veggies, meat, cheese. Bake for 10 minutes. Cool 3 minutes. Enjoy

Have fun.
