On Thursday, we finally made it out of town, and by sundown we were in Tennessee. Savannah was a great little traveller, but it helped to have bought some new playdough, a DoodlePro, and borrowed the DVD player before we left. With the naps we were able to go for quite a while.
We pulled into Fort Wayne right about dinner time, and after circling a little bit to Mike's chargrin, we pulled up to Brian and Tina's home. Savannah is absolutly thrilled to be out of the carseat and has been chasing the dogs and cats around ever since we got here two days ago. I never knew that hallways made such great raceways. Both Savannah and Katwba love it.
Yesterday, we went to the zoo and Savannah had a BLAST! She walked the whole thing, rode the carosel, petted the horses, walked amongst the goats, and walked through the "rainforest". I think the Fort Wayne zoo is one of the best zoos I have been to lately. It was free to get in too cause they have a partnership with the Jacksonville zoo where we have the membership.
Today we went to the children's museum. Savannah loved it too. She spent most of the time running up and down a slope, that would have lead her to a slide if she had kept going. She liked the slope too much though to go down the slide at the top. She also really liked the water table. It was one that had the water flowing down one side to show how river water moves around the different obstacles in the river. I remember thinking it was the greatest thing ever when I was younger.
