Ugh, Rain!

Today it rained. It was raining when I got up, and raining when I left with Savannah to go to the eye doctor appointment. It was a happyish rain, till I was travelling on the interstate for a while. Then it turned sad and depressing. Why? cause it had a sea of red lights intermixed with all the rain drops. Yup. I stopped on the interstate and watched to clock tick minutes by. After 5 minutes I think I had gone a mile, but I made it off, only to get stuck in another traffic jam. Needless to say, the doctors appointment that I was trying to get to early, I ended up being late for cause I sat in traffic for double the amount of time than I should have.

Oh Well. What can I do? I got to go to the doctors appointments. Because of the rain though I wasn't able to make it back for the small group that I joined. Missed last week because of Savannah's surgery, and missed this week cause the doc wanted me to drive in so he could look at her eye for 30 seconds. Kinda felt like gee, couldn't you have just called me or something?? then I could have made it to the moms of Tots small group on time. BUT I know that a picture tells a thousand more words that anything I could have said by trying to describe what I see, so it is worth going in. I feel like if we keep seeing each other so much that I might have to invite him over for Thanksgiving dinner... or maybe make him a Christmas gift. Ugh, not another person on the list!

I know it is only October, but I know December is right around the corner. I usually like to make the Christmas gifts, but I think this year is going to have to be a little less homemade. There is just not enough time in the day to work, work, and play. Maybe it is too much work.... If only it wasn't a necessary evil.

So I have been down this week.... The kids have been picking on each other, and Savannah is back to not sleeping through the night again. In fact, Mike slept on the living room floor While Savannah had the couch last night cause Savannah didn't want to sleep by herself. Ugh! Get over it kid. Mommies and Daddies have to sleep too you know!!!!!

So now as I get ready to go to work (yes I know it is 10 o'clock at night and I am just going to work) it is still raining. When I go to bed it will probably still be raining then too. Hoefully God's Showers will be done by morning... if not, I will have to start building an Ark!

Grandma and Grandpa need to give you a 3 hour break in which you can do whatever you want or go wherever you want. You and Mike have been dealing with a heavy load lately so just take it one day at a time and Christmas will take care of itself. ps. Don't tell the grandparents I voluntered them. Almost forgot this is a blog message. Guess I'm in trouble now! Jackie Ha Ha
