3 weeks Old!

Zoe is three weeks old and is gaining weight like crazy. She is up from the 8 lbs at birth to 9 pounds 6 ounces. I stand amazed at the weight gain cause Savannah had such a hard time gaining weight in the beginning that the docs wanted me supplementing with formula.... Zoe though is thriving on the breast milk. Praise God!

Other than that, the doc wants to know about the different shots, which to give which not to give, that kind of thing. I know some moms don't like to give all the shots, for various reasons, and I don't know where I stand on the issue. Yes, I agree that there are shots given to vaccinate against diseases we don't have around anymore, but if there were an outbreak and no one was vaccinated, then the disease would spread like wildfire through the country and the vaccines could not be made fast enough. So I think I would still get the ones like for polio and such. The ones I really don't like though are the chickenpox one, as it has to be readministered every so often for the rest of life, and maybe Hepatitis B. That one though I am not sure what exactly it is so I have to research more about it.

In other words, she is a perfectly happy health baby and we are going to try and keep it that way.
