New Year's Goals

So I am not one who likes to make new year's resolutions, knowing full well that new years resolutions are often easily broken or ignored and that they tend to only last a very short while. I also tend not to make a big deal out of it cause everyday can be a new beginning, with the slate wiped clean if it needs to be so why do it particularly on the first of January?

However this year I am going to make some new year goals..... not necessarily for just this year but just in general, for this year and subsequent years.

First, I want to start cutting out some of the sugar from our diet. This I would like to somewhat accomplish by simply not buying much at the grocery store that is really high in sugar, like candies and cakes, and possibly only treating ourselves to a limit of so much per month and when it is gone it is gone....

And second through the end is that I need to work on streamlining. It is a waste of time and energy not to have things streamlined. The size of the house or the amount of people in it is not an excuse for any of the problems.

and the streamlining has been started. We started in the girls room with the help of Aunt Jackie (Thank you, Thank you, Thank you) and my mom. We were able to put in a shelving unit to house some of the non-hanging stuff.... including books and toys that they aren't quite using, as well as some of the pants, shorts, etc. that were clogging up the dresser. Between that and the quick decision making by me to get rid of things that it didn't matter about (no point in saving all the girls clothes they have outgrown or just don't work in the room as intended...) I should have the room up and running shortly...... then I have to move to the next room."
