When I talked with the doctor I had mentioned that it seemed her functional vision was getting worse or that since school ended that she didn't seem to be using it as well. Doc said that was a good indication that we needed to go ahead and remove the cataract so that there was no further impact on the lazy eye. That said, instead of waiting till August to evaluate what to do, we agreed to sometime in July for surgery.
The docs surgery coordinator called me up today to schedule the date for the surgery. Savannah will do another outpatient procedure on Thursday, July 16th with a pre-operation appointment on the 14th and a post visit on the 17th.
I have a call in to the doc to talk more about the implant lens issue. We are still debating the decision and weighing the pros and cons.
