Savannah was complaining about headaches the last few days. She would only mention it when it was a mealtime, making Mike and I wonder if it was really a headache or a pretend headache to get out of having to eat (when she didn't like the food on her plate.) Her pediatrician didn't think she would make something like this up though cause she doesn't benefit from saying she had a headache. It wasn't like she could get to stay home from school if she didn't feel well.... It just seemed to convenient of a time to say something about it.

We called the doctor Tuesday morning and they wanted her eye pressures. They scheduled us an appointment this morning for a Wolfson's Hospital anesthesia eye pressure check. As far as setting up a pressure check, that is the fastest turnaround that we have ever had..... except in the beginning diagnosis time.

Her left eye, which is the one that has been giving us the hassles lately.... the one where the cataract was removed, and lately we have been going to the retinal specialist for, was doing better. In fact, it is below acceptable pressure level, which is why we have been having to go to the retinal specialist. (The pressure was a 6. Goal is 20.)

Her right eye pressure has spiked back up. It is back to where it was when she was first diagnosed a year and a half ago. (high of 35 to 40... again goal is 20) Something has to be done about it. What? Well, The doctor and I parted ways with, " I am not sure what course of action we will take, but we have to preserve the vision in this eye, as we can't get the vision to come back that well in the left eye. So let me (doctor) confer with the other specialists and we will get back to you." Uh oh. We have become one of 'those' patients. You know the ones that have such a specialized case that the docs have to have conference calls to discuss the options.

We will continue to keep Savannah and the rest of your family in our thoughts and prayers. I can't imagine how stressful this all must be for you. Please give me a call if you need me to watch the kids for a while to give you a break...I'm happy to help in any way I can. Big hugs coming your way!!!
Meagan I'm so sorry about all this. I'll be praying for you. I don't know for what...peace maybe? Wisdom for the docs.
Have just read this and have started to pray. I'm so sorry it has been such a roller coaster for you!
