In the World, Not of it....

Each year I am reminded at this time of year how important it is to guard our hearts, and the hearts of our kids. The TV shows and everything becomes scary this time of year, especially for the little hearts that get scared by the slightest shadow.

We try and avoid it as much as possible every year, and do very well guarding our girls hearts from the world's view. The girls don't watch any of the scary shows at all, and none of the Disney movies since they portray good verse evil too much. They scare Savannah. Even things that seem really tame, from Savannah's innocent view it is still scary.

As much as we try and shield her though, Savannah still has to deal with some level of tricks and then spends the entire night up being scared... Like last night, when she called for us several hundred times because there was something behind her door, and in the hallway, and everywhere else....... yet the house was exactly the same as it always is. That was after not even having any scary influences before bed, or even during the day. In fact we had spent most of the day at the zoo....
