Television

I have enjoyed all the PBS kids shows that have been playing for the last couple of years. While I have issue with Savannah watching TV all day, I still found myself letting her watch more than I have intended because she was learning a lot and I find that I am able to get things done while she is watching TV...

Then this seasons shows started. While I wasn't too fond of Dragon Tales, it wasn't too bad. This season though they have replaced it with Dinosaur Train. Can I just say that it is a horrible show? The show itself isn't bad, or scary. My issue with it is that it teaches EVOLUTION!!!! Boy are they trying to brainwash the kids early! Now if Christians were to try and get a show about how God created the world, we would get an earful about it, yet Dinosaur Train is teaching the "facts" about Dinosaurs and plant evolution and no one cares???

That aside though, When I mention to Savannah that no one really knows the whole story behind the dinosaurs and that there is a lot of imagination involved, she tells me no mommy, its true, it is on TV.

So I have found that I am changing the channel when it starts, or turning it off altogether. Unfortunately, Savannah has started complaining about me turning it off. Maybe this year will be the year when I kick her morning TV habit altogether....
