We have been applying this year for Savannah to attend the Florida School for the Deaf and Blind. We filled out the paperwork in March or April (I can't remember things like that these days) and hopefully after testing, she will be set up to go to school there in the fall!
Since she calls FL School for the Deaf and Blind HER school, I know Savannah would be disappointed to have to go elsewhere....
We debated this some, but in the end, although she could go through public school, we didn't want her constantly having to feel disadvantaged, but rather in a place catered to fit her special needs.
Depending on the kindergarten year, will determine how Savannah's school proceeds after kindergarten. After kindergarten she is eligible for virtual school if that is a path we want to take.

Hey lady, was just checking in on your family and saw this post. Aiden (and Gabe, coming home soon) will both be at FSDB as well. God has amazing plans for our precious children, and I believe FSDB is a wonderful school that can help them achieve their dreams, those plans, etc. I am sure I'll see you around St. Aug. Hope you all are enjoying your summer.
