Life moves on

Our sad Sunflowers... But we will have seed!

Our Cucumbers. They aren't as basd as this photo makes thm look. It definately is not their good side. Check them out in the next photo. They are much better looking.

So I may not have come back to the best looking green bean plants, or the best apple tree, but life moves on. I finally went over and dared to look at it, and the tree itself is healthy... limbs are not dead, just the leaves. so I took off all the dead leaves, and that made me feel better. My guess is that when we had to move it up, the root ball got damaged and the tree had to lose a lot of it's leaves in order to balance top and bottom. Maybe we will have a tree next year maybe not. Either way, it is a tree, and if my attempt to make it live didn't help it, but hurt it, well, I know better now, and the final call is not mine to make... I didn't intentionally kill it, it just happens. One only becomes better at gardening through playing in the dirt and with the plants.

The beans are still green too... they just don't have any leaves... and the look like green sticks sticking out of the ground. Maybe a bug got it.

The lone bean plant that still has leaves.

The carrot tops are growing bigger, but I pulled some weeds (the big weeds) after taking the photo and disturbed some of the carrots... you couldn't even tell that they were carrots from the rootside yet. Guess its a case of God's not through with them yet.

I decided today that Life goes one and not to worry, life is what it is. I would get bored if it was always perfect. It helps to know that all the struggles that Mike and I face are struggles that have plaugued people for years, centuries, generations even. All parents have dealt with toddlers, and all homeowners deal with house repair and upkeep.... It is just part of it... this thing called life. Go figure.
