Well we are home all in one piece. They were unable to do the plan A, so they did plan B, where they made the two little incisions that will allow the fluid to exit better. Doc said that it was just as good as the other procedure, and that he doesn't think there is any reason not to believe that this first attempt will be unsuccessful, but I think the first option was still is the better of the two or he wouldn't have tried to do it three times before moving to plan B.
Since the surgery, Savannah has been eating some and drinking some but other than that she is either sleeping or crying. She really wants the patch off of her eye, and I can understand why, but she can't have that and it pisses her off. So she goes between sleeping in Daddy's arms and crying "Daddeeeee!"
We have an appointment tomorrow morning so the doc can take some of the bandages off, check the eye and possibly redress it. Then we start some new eye drops to prevent infection. Next week we will find out if it worked when they go in for the other eye, as they will start by checking the pressure of the left eye before moving on to the right eye.

I am so glad to hear that the first surgery is behind you. I will continue to pray for you and Savanah! The great thing is that kids are so resiliant. It will all probably be much harder on you than on her!
One day down, one to go. Could you please email me your telephone number. I can't find it anywhere. I'll call tomorrow because everyone probably needs some good rest tonight.
Glad to hear everything went well. Keep us posted, and please let me know if you need anything at all.
