So through many friends I have been encouraged to get organized this year. Well, Not just me, some of us girls at Mothers of Invention are trying to get more organized in an attempt to beat the January blues. So we all joined a website called FlyLady.
FlyLady really tries to help families of all sizes and shapes to get organized through developing routines that help the house take care of itself so that life can be lived and enjoyed. A big part of it is making schedules and lists so that each day flows without having to really stop and think about what to do next. Also, it tends to break down a lot of the big tasks that seem overwhelming and do a little everyday so that the task isn't very daunting.
There are also lots of great helpful tools to make the jobs easier in themselves. Like this Grocery lists, which is actually linked over to Woman's Day Magazine. I couldn't stand printing all that out in color though every time so I had to recreate it in a much neater fashion. If anyone wants it in a word doc so that you can add and delete items, let me know.... just know I give all credit to Woman's Day for the idea.
I'll keep telling you about it as I continue using the FlyLady site, and maybe I can encourage each of you to do it right along with me. I can't cut and paste any of the Flylady stuff to this blog but I will gladly send you to the site to sign up for the daily reminders yourself. It is worth it, once you weed trough the non-essential ads and reminders that don't apply to your family situations.
