General happenings

Last weeks sermon was on Meekness. I guess I was meant to pay attention to it, cause the opportunity to learn about it just keeps coming. I must say that I have grown a lot as a parent since Savannah was born and just when I think that maybe I have gotten to a point where I can just rest for awhile, I find that another humbling thing just happens to come along. Most of the time in relation to the eye stuff....... just like this one. Not to say that anything major or extremely interesting has occurred, just the same old story, but just jumping another hurdle in the long series of hurdles laid out before us.

On other fronts, Zoe is blooming right before our eyes. She started crawling a few weeks ago, which I never really reported here on the blog cause I keep wanting to post pictures. (Yes, pictures...... that is another hurdle) She gets a kick out of crawling into the bathroom and playing with the bathroom toys (thank God that is all she is after at this point..... I can wait for playing in the toilet water.) so Savannah and I have been becoming very diligent about keeping that bathroom door closed. She also loves to follow the two of us around all the time and find Dusty. Dusty dog is a constant delight to her as Dusty has a nice bushy tail that is just to delightful. Within the same week that she started all of this crawling she also started pulling up. She is now to the point that she can clear the bottom two shelves in the bookcase of toys, and is starting to work on little items on the top shelf (only three shelves in the bookcase) such as the smaller easy to pull out books....

We started solids with her at about five months. So far her favorite is sweet potatoes, but since I am making most of it myself, we are following the seasonal fruits and vegetables so the peaches and so forth haven't come through yet. She also is already eating things like cottage cheese and shredded cheese, which she particularly find interesting, but then a major clean up ensues. She loves to smear all the food around her entire face too, so don't be shocked if pictures show her hours later with food still in her hair!

Oh yeah, pictures. We lost our main computer last November and since then have been using laptops that don't seem to like the pictures..... or I just don't do well with the laptops, either way I can't seem to get the pictures from the camera to the computer anymore. Mike will have to look at it sometime......

Mikes been working 6 days a week lately. With the state of the economy, they have been very busy. Tax season always is, but this year business is booming, especially if they can find financing for the person.

Anyways, I will keep working on the picture situation. I have lots of pictures to post, including Christmas ones and the girls new organized closet, and other events. If I can't get them working soon, maybe I will just take them to Grandmas computer......
