We went Muscadine Grape picking a few weeks ago. Muscadine grapes are a special grape that can be grown in Florida cause it has a very thick skin. In fact, you kind of have to cook them or just eat the middles.... though they also have seeds.

I had planned on turning the 5 pounds Savannah picked into some grape jelly, but.....Well, other than not getting around to it, the recipe required canning and I don't know how....

We had though skinned them. Zoe really got into this and was having fun with it. We did all five pounds pretty quickly. Then they sat in the fridge. A day or two later Zoe had a one day fever though, and between that and not knowing what to do next, I threw out the grapes.
I think we will go back next year, but I hope we will know what to do with them by then....
