Love God, Love People

This week we are talking about "love God, love people".  Our activity is to play love your neighbor hot potato.  Start by having the children gather in a circle, and pass a beanbag around the circle while the music plays.  When the music stops, the person holding the beanbag stands up and everyone shouts, "God loves ... and so do I!  Play till everyone has a turn.

For the craft this week, we are making people heart collages.  Start by cutting out a heart shape out of contact paper, then increase the pattern by 15% and cut out another heart out of contact paper.  Glue the smaller heart sticky side up to a sheet of construction paper or card stock.  In class pull off the backing and allow children to cover with magazine clippings of people.  When done, cover with larger heart so that the kids can not pull the people off, and send the craft home.
