Pull out the poster board (or card stock pages) with the half shapes and tape to the wall. Pull out the bag with the other half of the shapes and ask, “What is wrong with the shapes on my poster? Do they look right? Or is something missing? Do you think you can help me fix my shapes?” Pull out the first half of the shape from the bag. Choose one child to point to the other half on the poster board then stick it on with double sided tape. “Good job ___. Now I have one whole (shape).”
When all done, wrap up with “God asks that we not give Him just part of our heart. God wants all of our heart. Let’s go listen to our bible story tonight as Jesus tells us how to love God.”
Craft
Pass out the color wonder paper with the pre-printed heart. Allow the children to color with the wonder color markers. Then pass out cross stickers and heart stickers to place anywhere on the paper.
